Connectors

The connectors are words used to conect sentences. There are many types os connectors:

Time: before(antes),when(quando),after(depois)
Example: When Tatiana's instructors saw her in the tree,they thought she was hurt.

Reason: as(como),because(porque)
Example: I felt very scared because it was my first jump.

Result: so(portanto)
Example: I love practising sports and I love the sea,so I decided to lern to surf.

Contrast: but(mas),although(embora)
Example: Althought Stephen liked his bungee jumping experience, he felt sick afterwards.

Time sequence: first(primeiro),then(depois),finally(finalmente)
Example: First I had some lessons, then I jumped with my instructor and finaly I did it alone.

Addition: and(e),also(também)
Example: Also, surfing is done in a totally natural environment, the sea.

Condition: If(se)
Example: If he had a good education,he wouldn't behaved like that.

Conditional Senteses

Here are the Conditional Sentenses.

The Conditional Sentenses are made with If Clauses. There are 2 types of If clauses:

Possibility: Type I

If + Present + Future(will + Main Verb)
or
Future + If + Main Verb

Example: If I study, I will pass the exams.

Impossibility: Type II

If + Past + Conditional (Would + Main Verb)
or
Conditional + If + Past

Example: If we lived in Rome, Francesco would visit us.

Afirmative

Suject + have/has ......

Example: I have a computer.

Negative

Suject + haven't/hasn't ......

Example: I haven't a computer.

Interrogative

Have/Has + Suject + verb on infinite ......

Example: Have you played computer games today?

Passive Voice

Hello people.
This post is about Passive Voice. Pay attencion to the following examples.


Present Simple
Phrase: I eat the cake.
On Passive Voice: The cake is eaten by me.


Past Simple

Phrase: I ate the cake.
On Passive Voice: The cake was eaten by me.


Present Continuous

Phrase: She is eating the cake
On Passive Voice: She is beeing eating the cake.


Past Continous

Phrase: He was eating the cake.
On Passive Voice: The cake was beeing eaten by him.


Future(Will)

Phrase: They will eat the cake.
On Passive Voice: The cake will be ate by them.


Future(Going to)

Phrase: We are going to eat the cake.
On Passie Voice: The cake is going to be eaten by us.


Present Perfect

Phrase: I have eaten the cake.
On Passive Voice: The cake has been eaten by me.
